Parenting is hard. Parenting when your child is neurodivergent and the world isn’t built for them can feel relentless. My role is to help you understand what’s going on underneath behaviour, strengthen connection, and build strategies that fit your child and your home.
This is not about pushing children to “perform”, chase grades, or force compliance. It’s about helping your child feel safer and more regulated and helping you feel confident, capable and supported.

What we work on
Every family is different, but common themes include:
-
Emotional regulation, meltdowns/shutdowns, anxiety and overwhelm
-
Routines (mornings, bedtimes, transitions, leaving the house)
-
Boundaries and cooperation without shame or power struggles
-
Demand avoidance, burnout, low self-esteem, “masking”
-
Sibling conflict and family dynamics
-
Screen time, food, sleep, and daily stress points
-
Friendship issues and social stress
-
School anxiety, communication with teachers, and navigating school support
How sessions work
Free 30-minute discovery call
A chance to talk through what’s going on, what you’ve tried, what you want to change, and whether I’m the right fit.
Parent sessions (60 minutes)
Most families start with a minimum of 3 sessions because meaningful change takes practice and support.
After each session
I email a summary of what we covered, any resources or attachments, and practical next steps.
Between sessions
Parents can email me with questions. If something urgent comes up, I will often offer a brief “emergency call” to help you steady things, family life isn’t always predictable.

Working with schools
Some families also require support when dealing with schools; this may be:
-
Clarifying what to ask for and how to ask for it
-
Preparing for meetings
-
Understanding what is reasonable to expect
-
Helping translate school language into practical home support
-
Navigating SEND departments with parents and schools, helping extract realistic expectations for reasonable adjustments from lengthy reports
-
Liaising directly with school when appropriate
I’m not a legal expert, but I do bring current, real-world school insight and an understanding of how schools operate day to day.

Working with Children (only after parent sessions)
A lot of parents wish someone could “fix it” for them, like handing over a perfectly trained dog after a few sessions. But parenting (like training a rescue dog!) doesn’t work that way.
My focus is empowering parents to use the skills with confidence and consistency. If, after at least three parent sessions, it would be genuinely beneficial, I can sometimes work directly with your child (including teens), usually where delivery at home is getting stuck or there’s a specific issue that’s easier to tackle together.
